There are so many to choose from. Which Linux distribution do you like best, and why?
I like Slackware myself, probably because I've been using it for around 10 years now, but there are so many more popular ones out there :)
This is my type of question :)
It depends on what I'm doing. I tried most of them from a set of old InfoMagic Linux Developer's Resource CDs. My favourite is Slackware because I like its packaging system better. Unfortunately, I find that I have to start to shift more towards RPM-packaged distributions, or I have trouble installing new software. I'm currently playing with CentOS, a Red Hat Enterprise Linux clone to prepare for writing the RHCE.
Of course, for first time users, I'd recommend trying Knoppix out. It lets you try Linux out without formatting any drives.
